The distinguishing feature of the Model D-5 is the manual clutch which produces auger rotation only when the operator engages the clutch lever. When the lever is released, the clutch disengages and stops rotation of the auger.

Accessories STANDARD Standard Series augers feature hardfaced, screw-in fishtail pilots, and bolt on hardfaced blades. COMBO Combo Series augers feature heat treated cast alloy steel boring heads. PENGO® Pengo® Series uses the same forged steel teeth as the Combo Series as well as a bolt-on, heat treated, alloy steel pilot bit. DS3/DISPLAY STAND Multipurpose Stand stores the Earth Drill and up to three Augers.
